KUALA LUMPUR: After revealing the 2018 GranTurismo in New York, the Italian car maker, Maserati has revealed its topless sibling, the 2018 GranCabrio at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed. Along with the 2018 GranCabrio, the manufacturer also displayed the GranTurismo along with other models of the company’s lineup.

2018 Maserati GranCabrio Front

Talking about the changes in the updated four-seater sports car, it has received a new hexagonal grille which is inspired by the Alfieri concept. To improve the aerodynamics, the intake vents are now traditionally styled over the sweeping design. With this, the air drag is dropped to 0.32 from 0.33. The rear bumper is also updated to match its front profile.

2018 GranCabrio Cabin

In the cabin, the 2018 GranCabrio gets a new 8.4-inch infotainment system which features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The center console is also restyled to improve the overall ambiance with fewer buttons and a new rotary controller along with a number of driving modes. The rest of the elements are kept intact and are carried forward from the outgoing model.

GranCabrio Side

Under the hood, the 2018 Maserati GranCabrio is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 engine that delivers 460 PS of maximum power and 520 Nm of peak torque. The power is delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed ZF-sourced automatic transmission. The GranCabrio will be offered in two variants - Sports and MC - with pricing and other details to be revealed at the time of local launch.

The sales of 2018 Maserati GranCabrio and GranTurismo is already on for the England market and the customers who order either of the cars will also get a Maserati Exclusive Edition watch from Bulgari. The Malaysian launch is expected to take place in 2018 and both the cars are likely to get the same specs as revealed at the Goodwood Festival.
