2018 Maserati GranTurismo arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Maserati Malaysia finally presented the facelifted GranTurismo to the countrymen. The Italian carmaker has bestowed the four-seater grand tourer beauty with small yet substantial revisions.

Cutting the long story short, here is the list of attributes (style, performance, and feature) the all-new GranTurismo features -

• The Italian beauty now showcases an entirely new front profile that is decorated with a new hexagonal grille, restyled headlights, and smarter lower air ducts
• The revised set of headlights offer the same LED/bi-Xenon functionality along with add-ons like groove housing in Xenon lamp casing and restyled LED DRLs

• The side profile looks more or less identical. It's the rear end that shares major revisions like a new central diffuser, pronounced rear lip spoiler, and lastly a parking camera also forms a part of the update
• 2018 GranTurismo cabin gets a well-sculpted dashboard that is covered in leather with red stitching running from corner to corner

• Its performance seats are wrapped in Poltrona Frau leather upholstery that gives the cabin a sporty look
• The new GranTurismo cabin is offered in five trims (including carbon fibre, walnut Briarwood, and black piano) and eight color options
• Maserati has revised the centre console giving it a more upbeat appearance. Also included in the package is a new double rotary dial and repositioned driving mode button cluster.
• Taking care of passengers entertainment needs is an 8.4-inch touchscreen system that is tuned with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In the list of new items are included a new Maserati clock design and Harman Kardon sound system
• Powering the all-new Maserati GranTurismo is a Ferrari sourced 4.7-litre V8 engine that puts out a maximum power of 466 PS at 7,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 520 Nm at 4,750 rpm
• The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via ZF six-speed automatic transmission

• With the giving performance setup, this car touch the 100 km mark in 4.7 seconds and attains a top speed of 301 kmph
  If that’s not enough, Maserati is spoiling customers with a range of exterior color and alloy wheel choices

Accompanying the new additions is a revised price tag, that as expected is on the higher end than before. Maserati is offering the 2018 GranTurismo at a starting price of RM717,800 which includes five-year standard warranty along with a five-year/100,000 km maintenance package.
