As seen in the magazine’s cover picture, the Corvette ZR1 is upgraded with a lot of aero features. The picture is only from the front view and the side as well as rear view is not visible. There is a revamped bumper in the front, styled with bigger vents and a muscular diffuser. Although not visible in the picture, the magazine claims in its digital version that the ZR1 is more or less the same as that of a Z06, except for a larger rear wing and a new set of wheels.

The hood borrows exterior styling cues from the C6 ZR1 and has larger power bulge, while on the inside, it is fitted with a brand new GM LT5 engine. The LT5 engine boasts of a larger supercharger that differentiates it from the LT4 engine present in the Z06.

With a larger throttle body, refurbished fuel injection system and reinforced crankshaft, the LT5 engine pump out 750 PS of raw power and 922 Nm of torque. This sheer power coupled with the 7-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission system allows the ZR1 to reach a top speed of more than 338 kmph. Besides, the suspension system comprises of the exact same parts as that of Z06, albeit at a varied tuning that is suitable for an increased power output and also because ZR1 is 63.5 kg heavier than Z06.

Carbon ceramic brake rotors and calipers, that were optional in the Z06 are a standard offering on the ZR1. Moreover, its front wheels’ width has been increased by a half inch despite having Z06’s standard tires.
