2019 Kia K900 sedan revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Kia gave a preview of the K900 interior’s design a few days ago through a teaser image. The company has now officially disclosed the complete design of the luxury sedan, K900 in its home market.

This full-sized luxury sedan by Kia is designed in a unique way and differs immensely from their prior sedans. The second-generation K900 is all-new in terms of its looks as well as features, unlike most sedans which normally feel like German-built cruisers.

The cutting-edge design of the Kia K900 sports upswept headlights and the brand’s large ‘Tiger Nose’ grille at the center. Below this, wide corner air intakes are located. These intakes also house the car’s fog light along with another air intake at the center. The grill and the air intake pieces are further surrounded by chrome. The corners of the bumpers are also smartly-shaped with chrome.

Kia K900’s side profile is also sleekly designed. It features a swooping roofline design and straight window lines. The pull-grab door handles are followed by one defined stroke which infuses a unique character to it. To a section of the side mirror, the entire window frame and to the lower section of the car, more chrome has been introduced. The tail lights have been styled in a similar way as the front ones, i.e. in an upswept, upright manner.

The interiors of the car have been elegantly designed as well. It has a wide cockpit design. Leather has been thoughtfully infused in the dashboard area. It abounds from the top of the dashboard to the center console. There is also an option of applying different types of wood trimmings and colors to the cabin.

Three options of the Kia K900 are available. First, there is one with a 3.3-litre V6 with 300 PS of maximum power and 348 Nm of torque. At the middle is a larger 3.8-litre V6 putting out 334 PS of power and 395 Nm of torque. In case a user still desires for more, there's the 5.0-litre V8 producing 425 PS of power and 510 Nm of torque. It should be noted, however, that engine choices are turbocharged which can be considered as a very interesting decision.
