2019 Toyota RAV4 coming soon to Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: It was in 1994 when Toyota RAV4 first made its debut, and it was a time when body-on-frame 4WD cars were the off-road cars. Upcoming Toyota RAV4 will play a crucial role in the development of a new market for passenger-friendly SUV/Crossover.

The new RAV4 development concept - Robust Accurate Vehicle with 4 Wheel Drive, is a perfect mix of sophistication and power. It offers top-class cargo space along with superb driving performance, thanks to the new 4WD system.

The cabin layout stress on passengers' convenience with a number of cup holders and easy-to-use trays. Standard on all the models is the company’s latest Safety sense preventive safety kit. Also, the Connected Services offer a comfortable, safe, convenient, and secure driving experience.

The upcoming RAV4 features the world’s first Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD system that calls for stable and precise steering control via a torque vectoring mechanism. The said system independently distributes torque to the rear and front wheels, following the driving conditions.

There’s also a disconnected mechanism that sends driving force to rear wheels when 4WD is not needed, thus reducing energy loss and enhancing fuel economy.

The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre Dynamic Force inline 4-cylinder mill that is coupled to a Direct Shift-CVT. This TNGA concept-based powerplant offers smooth drive and excellent mileage.

As per sources, Toyota Malaysia is planning to launch the RAV4 soon, and we are expecting it to be priced between RM 188,000 to RM 195,000.
