A hardcore version of Lamborghini Urus is on its way

KUALA LUMPUR: The Italian carmaker, Lamborghini has informed that a new hardcore version of the Urus is coming soon. The car will be based on the Urus ST-X off-road concept SUV, which was displayed at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final held in November 2018.

Lamborghini Urus is one of the finest and high-grossing models that the carmaker ever had. Apart from delivering the supercar performance, the SUV also provides much-needed comfort and practicality for daily driving.

The new hardcore version will make-up the absence of features in the off-road version of the SUV. The new car will come with performance upgrades and a lot of off-road centric technologies. As mentioned earlier, it will be based on the Urus ST-X off-road concept SUV.

Speaking of the designs, the new SUV will get improved roll cage and the carbon fibre parts make it lighter. Apart from these, it will get big fenders, air intakes, reprofiled exhausts, and torsional stiffening. The car is expected to feature most of the ST-X upgrades except the roll cage as it is not a track-only vehicle.

To recall, the current gen Lamborghini Urus uses a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 mill, which is capable of providing a maximum power of 650 PS coming at 6,000 rpm. The maximum torque that the engine can provide is 850 Nm, which comes at a range between 2,250 rpm and 4,500 rpm.

The SUV has a top speed of 305 kmph, and the 0 to 100 kmph acceleration is done is just 3.6 seconds, while to speed up from 0 to 200 kmph, the car takes just 12.8 seconds. Moreover, the car has to stretch up to 33.7 meters, to decelerate from 100 kmph to nil.
