Audi launches e-tron in Thailand
KUALA LUMPUR: Audi has launched the new e-tron in Thailand, thus becoming the first premium brand to bring in a fully electric vehicle. The EV made its global debut in San Francisco a few months back.
The new electric vehicle is only available in a single variant, namely e-tron 55 Quattro. The car comes with two electric motors, one each at the front and rear axle. The front motor can make a maximum power of 168 hp and it is sent to the wheels via a single-speed gearbox. The rear motor can provide up to 188 hp of power. The motors are equipped with electric Quattro all-wheel-drive system, and the combined power output is 355 hp and 561 Nm of peak torque.
The all-new electric vehicle can also be boosted for a few seconds. The front motor will make around 13 hp and the rear one 34 hp of more power. These make total system output to read 402 hp along with 664 Nm of peak torque. The car can speed up from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds, whereas enabling the boost mode the time span decreases to 5.7 seconds.
The motors are powered by a 95 kWh lithium-ion battery which can be charged via either a 22 kW or 11 kW home AC charging solutions or a 150-kW DC fast charging with the help of the Combined Charging System (CCS). The battery can provide an overall driving range of 417 km.
Coming to the features, the e-tron 55 Quattro comes with HD Matrix LED headlamps, adaptive air suspension, Audi drive select, an optional Audi virtual exterior mirrors, etc. The car rides on 21-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, there is a 7inch OLED touchscreen display.
The all-new Audi e-tron comes with a price tag of 5.099 million baht which is equivalent to RM 657,618.
