Bermaz Motor increases 2019 Mazda cars’ price; extends maintenance package

KUALA LUMPUR: The prices of the Mazda cars in Malaysia have been updated recently. The price update is also varied in the models that are assembled locally. However, the cars’ maintenance package has also been increased, barring the BT-50 pickup. Only the vehicles of the production year 2019 get the free maintenance package extension. The extra extended maintenance package is now for 24 months, which takes the total to five years.

Also, the coverage for mileage has been extended from 60,000 kilometres to 100,000 kilometres. In this way, the free maintenance package, looks similar to the warranty coverage. All the parts, lubricants and labour that are needed during the scheduled maintenance programme will be covered under the free maintenance package.

There are few after sales services available for the Mazda cars. In case of any vehicle breakdown, 24-Hour Mazda Roadside Assistance has been made available. Moreover, there is a Mazda Mobile Service in Klang Valley and Penang that offers door-to-door car servicing.

The maximum price hike for the vehicles is RM 2,000. The models that have registered the highest price increase are Mazda CX-9 CBU (2.5 turbo 2WD and 2.5 turbo AWD), CX3 CBU, Mazda 6 CBU and Mazda 2. The Mazda CX-5 CKD 2.2D 4WD GLS gets the minimum price hike of just RM 560.

On the contrary, there are few cars that received a price reduction too. The Mazda CX-5 CKD’s 2.2D 2WD GLS comes with the maximum price reduction of around RM 271, while, on the other hand, with around RM 67 difference, the Mazda 3 (CKD) car’s 2.0 Sedan high-spec gets the minimum price reduction.

There is also a Mazda Privilege Card, which offers a discount on official merchandise and labour cost.
