Check out the adventure-ready Peugeot 3008 Concept

KUALA LUMPUR: The images you see here are of the Peugeot 3008 Concept - a one of a kind off-road sports utility vehicle curated with adventure-ready specifications. This particular car is created for a prominent auto magazine that covered an extended feature on it. The 3008 Concept displayed its off-road capabilities by successfully covering the northern section of the Ho Chi Minh trail in Vietnam. This journey was a part of its epic off- and on-road drive.

The 3008 Concept is based on the 1.6-litre Pure Tech GT Line variant. However, as evident, the model underwent a series of all-terrain modifications that enabled it to accomplish the task.

Added to the GT Line model were -

• 17-inch steel wheels wrapped in Cooper AT3 off-road tyres
• Underbody protection, like the front skid plate
• LED light bars on top of the Rival aluminium roof rack for added illumination
• Fully-retractable ARB Simpson expedition-style roof tent
• Bicycle rack at the rear

Completing the overall look and feel of the Peugeot 3008 Concept is the appealing exterior wrap. Now, that this concept car has completed the assigned task successfully, it won’t come as a surprise if Peugeot in the future comes up with a more robust version of the 3008 SUV. We won’t even mind an off-road package that gives the customer a chance to transform their car into an on- and off-road monster.
