KUALA LUMPUR: Wanna know of the ‘Most beautiful supercar of the year 2021’. Well, it is the very much deserving Maserati MC20. The said honour was given to the Maserati supercar at the Festival Automobile International online award ceremony held on 26 January 2021.

It was only in September 2020 that Maserati launched the MC20 supercar globally at the MMXX international show held in Modena. On receiving the recognition as the ‘most beautiful supercar’ company’s design head, Klaus Busse said, “We are honoured to receive this coveted accolade, which recognises the work of an entire team who have made a whole-hearted commitment to this unique project, creating a car that opens a new chapter in Maserati’s history.”

The car is an amalgamation of the best of both worlds - design, power and technology. Talking about the former the car looks elegant, sporting personality and prowess, making it a true masterpiece that commenced a new era from the brand. It was designed at the automaker’s Turin situated Centro Stile Maserati and marks the return of the brand in the super sport car arena.

Identified for its unique Italian character, the MC20 features the brand's timeless signature design, which is a perfect mix of craftsmanship and engineering. What sets the MC20 apart from the rest is its quality hand workmanship and absolute precision achieved via the most advanced production technique.

The Maserati MC20 is a 100 percent made in Italy product, developed at the historic Modena plant by Maserati Innovation Lab.

Some of the best design highlights of the Maserati MC20 are its butterfly doors that not only look stunning but provide easier access to the cabin. The vertical headlights are a real revolution in the brand’s design language and the horizontal tail lamps look equally stunning.

Along with the stunning looks, the MC20 is a powerful soul energised by a V6 Nettuno mill - a 100 percent patented, designed, conceived and manufactured fully by Maserati. The powerplant pumps out a maximum power of 630 hp and enables the supercar to cover the 0 to 100 kmph sprint in under 2.9 seconds and can attain a top speed of 325 kmph.
