Check out the world's most potent open-top production car
KUALA LUMPUR: Limited to just 19 units, the Lamborghini Sian hybrid hypercar is the most powerful open-top in the world. Its limited production units make it very exclusive, even more than the series-produced Ferrari. And what's shocking is that all 19 units of it are sold already. Lamborghini's Ad Personam personalization arm will build them as per the owner's desired specifications.
Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini chairman, and chief executive officer said, "The Sián Roadster encapsulates the spirit of Lamborghini. It is the expression of breathtaking design and extraordinary performance, but most importantly embodies important future technologies. The Sián's innovative hybrid powertrain heralds the direction for Lamborghini super sports cars, and the open-top Sián Roadster affirms a desire for the ultimate lifestyle, Lamborghini, as we move towards a tomorrow demanding new solutions."

The roadster sources bulk of its power, i.e., 785 hp, from the Aventador's naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre mill (updated version). There's also a 48-volt electric motor churning 35 hp of power. This motor is integrated into the transmission unit for zero-emission low-speed manoeuvres.
The electric motor also helps flatten the car's acceleration curve by proving torque fill that reduces the effect of deceleration during a gear change. Thus, the company has claimed to dispatch the 0-100 kmph sprint faster than Aventador SVJ Roadster's 2.9 seconds. Also, the top-speed will be more than 350 kmph.
Both the models of the Sian can call upon a supercapacitor storage unit that is said to store ten times more power compared to the conventional lithium-ion battery. It will provide instant torque boosts when required while traveling at speeds of up to 130 kmph. According to the luxury automaker, removing the roof will not affect the car's aerodynamic efficiency.
The Lamborghini Sian's trademark design elements are all carried over in the roadster version. The car features Y-shaped headlights, hexagonal exhaust exits, six Countach-inspired brake light, and gaping air intakes both at the front and rear. Also, present are heat-sensitive cooling vets that rotate according to the engine temperature, a retractable spoiler, and an aerodynamic 'airstreams' at the back.
Lamborghini is using the Sian that means 'lighting' in English, and it will set a tone for all the brand's upcoming electric lineup.
