Ford offers free vehicle service and cash rebate on Ranger; launched the new XLT Plus Facelift

KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Ford cars in Malaysia, SDAC, has rolled out an enticing promotional offer on the purchase of Ford Ranger. Applicable on selected variants, the scheme comprises free vehicle service and cash rebate options. Along with this, the company also introduced the facelifted version of Ranger XLT Plus, featuring premium touches inside out.

Starting with the promo details, it offers more savings and a lower cost of ownership to the customers looking to buy the new Ford Ranger. The customers who buy Raptor, WildTrak, or XLT Plus can choose between the four free vehicle services (equivalent to two-year free maintenance or up to 40,000 km, whichever comes first) and a RM 2,000 cash rebate. Simultaneously, the buyers who opt to buy Ranger XL and XLT variants can enjoy up to RM 7,000 cash rebate. The promo is valid till December 31.

“We are pleased to announce greater saving options for our customers, with the choice of enjoying four free vehicle service or cash rebate options on our Ranger vehicles. With these saving options, we hope this would allow customers more flexibility in their spending,” said Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion.

Moving to the new Ford Ranger XLT plus facelift, it comes with added premium features borrowed from WildTrak and Raptor variants. These include high-performance Bi-LED headlights delivering 17% more lighting penetration for better visibility during night driving. It also gets a new body-coloured bumper design trimmed with a silver bumper lip and an exclusive new chrome grille to complement its overall exterior styling. 

The available colour options comprise Aluminium Metallic, Arctic White, Lightning Blue, Meteor Grey, and Absolute Black.

Under the hood, the pickup houses a 2.0L Single-Turbo engine, mated to a first and only in-class ten-speed automatic gearbox capable of generating 180 PS of maximum power and 420 Nm of peak torque.

On the features front, the Ranger XLT plus facelift comes with the following bits:

• Keyless entry with push-start-button 
• First-in-class Easy Lift Tailgate 
• An eight-inch touchscreen display with SYNC multimedia system 
• Reversing camera
• Electronic shift-on-the-fly 4x4
• Rain-sensing wipers
• Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS)
• Daytime running lights 

The truck also has plenty of safety features, including two airbags, ABS with EBD, limited slip differential, hill descent control, hill launch assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability control with traction control, trailer sway control, rollover mitigation, adaptive load control, and Ford MyKey.

Ford Ranger XLT Plus facelift price starts at RM 129,888 (on-the-road, without insurance), and it comes with a full manufacturer’s warranty of 3 years or up to 100,000 km, whichever comes first, like the entire Ranger lineup.
