Ford unveils Ranger Storm concept at Sao Paulo International Motor Show
KUALA LUMPUR: The Ford Ranger Storm concept has been showcased in Brazil at the ongoing Sao Paulo International Motor Show.
The Ford Ranger Storm concept is built on the top-of-the-line T6 variant, which is also a limited version. The pickup derives power from a five-cylinder, 3.2-litre Duratorq TDCi engine which is capable of pushing out a maximum of 197 hp along with a peak torque of 470 Nm. The transmission duties are done by a 6R80 six-speed automatic gearbox. It also comes with a rugged makeover.
Coming to the design part, the Ranger Storm comes with side steps, silver roof rails, and a snorkel. Also, a black front grille, where the ‘Storm’ lettering is printed in large is offered. At the corners, two C-shaped outlines are given that are silver in color. The hood also comes with dual track outlines along with double fog lights and frames.
The Ford Ranger Storm comes with a dual tone exterior - Tuscany Red body is offered along with black paint on the cladding, wheel arches, and front grille, for the contrast. The side mirror caps, snorkel, and door handle also get the same black colored treatment. The pickup ride on 17-inch alloy wheels, which are wrapped in 285/70 profile MTR Scorpion tyres.
The rear tailgate also gets a black finish that is complemented by a Storm logo, silver paint, and 4X4 Off Road inscription. Also, a Storm badge is provided on the lower portion of front door cladding. The roof rails are combined with the rear bar design that gets the black/silver paint.
