Jeep to bring many new models according to its 5-year strategy

KUALA LUMPUR: Jeep is probably one of the most successful and revenue-churning marques from the stable of FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), continually driving profits and sales. And if you have been wondering how the company would manage to sustain the healthy revenue flow, here is the answer.

Jeep has now given a five-year strategy that it has outlined. One thing is for sure since the company has been raking up sales and revenue, the mother company will definitely expand the model portfolio. Along with this, the company is also looking to expand the development to cover the hybridization.

Have a look at the strategic roadmap of Jeep and you will know how active the brand has planned to be. The company has revealed that it is planning to get an A-segment car on the road within the next five years, which could probably be a crossover. And though it has not planned a name for the car yet, there are quite a lot of developments that have been ascertained.

Jeep says that the new A-segment crossover would be slotted below the Renegade and could even have the company’s two latest developments, a plug-in hybrid and the vehicle-to-vehicle connectivity.

Apart from this, Jeep has also confirmed an all-new Renegade B-segment car within the next five years. Along with this, the company is planning to get the next generation Renegade a hybrid and complete-electric powertrains, and some autonomous abilities as well.

In the C-segment, Jeep is a little skeptical about making changes in the current generation Wrangler as it debuted this year. However, there could be a refreshed Compass, which could get the company’s slated hybrid, electric, and autonomous technological developments.

Further, there would be an entirely new pick-up truck joining the lineup too. But looking at the test mule, we can say that it would be based on the Wrangler, but on an extended platform. And yet again, there is no mention about the naming of this pickup.

So, whatever it may sound like, the 5-year roadmap strategy of the company is quite impressive, for sure.
