Maserati shines at the 2021 Auto Shanghai Show
KUALA LUMPUR: As China's economy rebounds from the pandemic, the world’s largest auto show “Auto Shanghai” is going underway in the country in its full glory. All the major car giants are available on this global stage with their latest creations and Maserati is the one among those. Alongside its first electrified SUV Levante Hybrid, the Trident brand has the MC20 supercar, the Ghibli F Tributo Special Edition, and Zegna Capsule Collection on display.
On the stand, a separate area is dedicated to Maserati’s affinity for innovation, while another area shows off its Fuoriserie customisation programme, including the Corsa, Unica, and Futura collections.
Levante Hybrid
Like the Ghibli Hybrid, the Maserati Levante Hybrid gets a 48-volt treatment under the hood, combined with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine. According to Maserati, the hybrid car weighs less than gasoline and diesel and has a better weight distribution. On the styling front, it gets blue accents on the three iconic side air ducts, brake calipers, and the C-pillar logo. The same colour highlights reappear inside the SUV, on the embroidered seams of the seats.
F Tributo Special Edition
At Shanghai Auto Show, Maserati also introduced the F Tributo, featuring an amazing design and luxury inspired by motorsport and racing heritage. Available on Ghibli and Levante, this special series is on offer in two exclusive colours - Rosso Tributo and Azzurro Tributo. The Levante F Tributo is fitted with Anteo 21-inch wheels in Black while the Ghibli F Tributo stands on glossy black Titanium 21-inch units. Added to the exterior styling are yellow wheel trims and brake calipers.
Inside, these limited editions follow the external detailing in the form of Black full-grain “Pieno Fiore” leather, stitched in red or yellow depending on the bodywork colour.
Maserati Fuoriserie
Speaking about the Maserati Fuoriserie on the stand, this personalization treatment program by Maserati helps the customers in differentiating their cars from others. It involves three collections - Corsa, Unica, and Futura expressing the “brand’s power and represents its values of sportiness, elegance, and innovation.”
Debuting at the show are Maserati Fuoriserie extended options available on the Ghibli, Quattroporte, and Levante range. These comprise new external paints and liveries, and wheel and brake caliper colours, and specific cabin combinations. Further, Maserati is also offering the Fuoriserie Programme on the MC20 sports car from today.
Zegna Capsule Collection
The exclusive Zegna Capsule Collection is also exhibited at the Show. Partners for over a hundred years, Maserati and Zegna have created masterpieces by a refined selection of outerwear, knitwear, and fashion accessories. The collection includes garments in elegant materials, enhanced by PELLETESSUTA detailing.
Maserati CEO Davide Grasso commented: “Shanghai Auto Show is an extremely important event for our Brand. The Show marks a rebirth in difficult times. We believe strongly in this new beginning, and today we are showcasing several world premieres that project us straight into the future. The stand is dominated by the Brand’s first electrified SUV, Levante Hybrid, which completes the Levante range and creates a new “family within the family”, now comprising V6 and V8 gasoline and hybrid propulsion systems.”
