MINI Owners Club Malaysia raised RM15k for animal rescue NGO on 10th anniversary

Kuala Lumpur: MINI Owners Club Malaysia (MOCM) organized a MINI Pixelized Charity Event on 15th August 2015 in Putrajaya. The main motivation behind the event was to raise funds for the Trap Neuter Release Manage (TNRM) program, which is being run by the local animal rescue NGOs.

Malayasia is truly blessed to have such a group of NGO, who used humane methods for controlling the abandoned stray animals, and maintain their population in a meticulous order. TNRM works in a natural way of birth control by performing neutering on stray dogs and cats, thereafter they release these animals back to their original habitat and in some cases they send the animals to various animal shelters for adoption. TNRM Malaysia and SPCA Selangor are among the NGOs involved in TNRM.

Another reason to celebrate MINI Pixelized Charity Event was the mark of MOCM’s 10th year anniversary. By the end of the day, the event successfully witnessed a total collection of RM 15,007.40 from various contributors who participated in the event.

The event was based on the theme of the recent Hollywood flick Pixels, which feature four units of F56 Mini Cooper S fiercely chasing a giant Pac-Man. However, in the real event more than 140 MINI's turned out making it one of the biggest MINI cars gathering in Malaysia till date.

Young and Old excited “MINIacs” first congregated at the Putrajaya Marriott for a photo session then they proceeded with a MINI (actually very large) convoy to the IOI City Mall for the main event. At the major event venue the representatives explained the cause of and encouraged everyone to spread the word about the TNRM program. What could have ended the beautiful event? Well, the event was ended with a screening of Pixels movie.
