New Ford Ranger coming soon to Malaysia, October-end launch confirmed

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, the heading is correct, exciting, and says it all. Ford Malaysia lineup will soon get a revamp in its pickup section. The ongoing Ranger model will be soon replaced by an all-new generation that’s known to be more dynamic, versatile, powerful, and stylish. Seems like it’s MORE in every department.

Earlier today, Sime Darby Auto Connexion, the official distributor of Ford in the country released an official statement confirming the new Ranger’s arrival. Quoting the released statement, ‘The new Ford Ranger is scheduled for launch in Malaysia at the end of this month.’ Also, Ford Malaysia website has been updated, and it now shows the Ford Ranger, and new Ranger Raptor with a coming soon tag under the pickup section.

Though the official launch statement doesn’t give much insight about the upcoming Ford pickup. However, it certainly talks about how the new Ranger is more than just an ordinary truck and is built to take over the concrete jungle. As per Ford, the all-new Ranger is a lifestyle family vehicle that’s even fit for adventure and commercial activities. Thus, claiming its ‘good for all’ tag.

Ford Ranger is already one of company’s best selling nameplate in the country, and now with a new model arrival just around the corner we only see the sales figure rising. According to Ford, the 2018 Ranger lineup will consist of the following variants - XL, XLT, XLT+, Wildtrak, and the much-awaited Raptor. With a range of trim on offer together with the ‘Built Ford Tough’ credentials the upcoming Ranger will serve and suite the lifestyle of a diverse customer set.
