Nissan Ariya gets a bespoke palette of premium paints

KUALA LUMPUR: Nissan Ariya’s colour palette consists of several premium and futuristic paint options that are inspired by the car’s advanced technology. Furthermore, the brand’s colour experts have curated two new hues especially for the Ariya - Aurora Green and Akatsuki Copper.

Ariya’s rich palette of exterior colour options consists of ten shades that reflect the car’s powerful spirit of innovation and the thrill of the future. These vivid colours, in a sense, define the EVs visual identity and are stimulated by its state-of-the-art connectivity, next-level electric powertrain, and advanced driver-assist features. The said colour palette consists of four monotone and six two-tone options and together they elevate the car’s look and feel.

Apart from making the Ariya look amazing, the new colour options are a blessing to the environment. How? Well, these hues are applied to the car via a highly advanced and environmentally sustainable tech that minimises C02 emission by 25 percent, thus further enhancing EV’s positive environmental impact.

Speaking of the sustainable technique, Nissan has introduced water-based paint that can be applied at a lower temperature, ensuring each part of the car is painted together.

With these new paint schemes, Nissan's expert colour design team has assigned a brand-new identity to the company’s electric mobility. Two captivating shades naming, Aurora Green and Akatsuki Copper are specially developed for the electric crossover and they beautifully represent its power, sense of serenity, and technology.

Nissan Design Europe, Colour Manager, Lesely Busby said, “The ingenuity the Nissan Ariya represents inspired us to adopt an entirely new mindset for colour design.” He further added,“Ariya is the culmination of Nissan’s electric mobility expertise and a strong statement of intent for the future of EV design. We therefore worked hard to introduce a truly futuristic and technology-driven design language for the colours, analysing them in detail to create the perfect match for Ariya’s innovative personality.”

Further, an all-new level of depth and detail is reflected in customer-favorite colours that are curated with state-of-the-art paint production techniques. For instance, the Pear Black tone includes an all-new pigment that elevates the depth of the shade, creating a rich and captivating look and feel. For the shade Pearl White, the team developed a highly advanced technique to achieve a clean, crisp, and complex composition that offers more clarity than ever seen before on a Nissan. The two-tone paint scheme comprises of black-roof that’s created using all-new pigment that results in an unmatched level of depth.

On the black & white shades Busby commented, these colours are some of the most popular options with vehicle owners in Europe and around the world.
