Proton Saga is the brand’s best-selling model with 5,666 units sold last month.Once again, the evergreen Proton Saga becomes the star model with 5,666 units. It again became the bestselling model in Malaysia for the month after September this year and also grabbed the tag of champion in the A-segment sedan class. Proton hopes the sedan will retain this position till the end of the year.
Speaking about the much-loved X50, it had a record month with 4,010 units delivered. This makes the B-segment intelligent SUV the best-seller not only in class but also in the SUV segment. Its elder sibling, the X70 kept ahead in the C-segment SUV class with 1,901 units.
Proton Exora continues its dominance in the C-segment MPV with 434 units. However, the newly-released 2022 Proton Iriz and Persona achieved 642 and 1,534 units, respectively as the production was restricted due to component supply issues.
“November was a good sales month for Proton though overall industry numbers continue to be limited by supply and not demand. Crossing over the 100,000-unit threshold with a month to go is a high point for us after another year disrupted by Covid-19. We are humbled by the achievement and are now confident of ending the year with an increase in total sales. This will make Proton the sole national brand to grow sales and market share this year and give us a strong base heading into 2022 as we look to consolidate and improve our ranking both domestically and overseas,” said Roslan Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer, Proton Edar.
