Q1 2019 Sales Report: Ford Ranger sales on rise as demand grows

KUALA LUMPUR: The sales report for the first quarter of 2019 are out now, and the results are not at all surprising. The segment-defining Ranger pickup has once again proved its worth by coming out as the class topper in sales. The Ford Ranger grabbed a good 20.1 percent share in the pickup segment sales, and that's 4.8 percent hike over the same period the previous year.

Truong Kim Phong, Managing Director, Asia Pacific Emerging Markets, Ford Motor Company said, “The ‘Built Ford Tough’ Ranger continues to define customer expectations in the pickup segment for capability, versatility, great design, and comfort,”.

The Ford Ranger has won multiple awards and has attracted buyers who require a car that helps them achieve the work-life balance. The Ranger in Malaysia is available in nine variants and thus caters the need of a wide range of customers. While the base model, the Ranger XL can be yours at RM 103,888, the range-topping Ranger Raptor is priced at RM 199,888. In addition, the Ranger offers a host of smart safety features that most passenger car specs sheet in the range doesn't include.
