Released- Price list for Nissan models post SST

KUALA LUMPUR: With sales and services tax (SST) taking effect from September 1 this year, prices for different car models have been revised. Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), the official distributor of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, has put out a list containing car models, price with 6% GST, price without GST, new price with SST (OTR without insurance) and price difference.

The data listed out in a tabular form shows that all Nissan models have become cheaper than before. While the smallest change in price is RM2,200 for Nissan Almera 1.5L VL AT, the highest price reduction goes up to RM5,400 for the Nissan X-Trail 2.5L 4WD.

After the reduction in prices, the Almera 1.5L VL AT retails at RM79,800 while the X-Trail 2.5L 4WD gets a new price of RM153,800. The Nissan NV350 Urvan, on the other hand, was subjected to zero change, it continues to be offered at a price of RM125,000.

Notably, the SST-inclusive price for Navara variants was not released. On this, the distributor told that the Navara will be available at 0% GST prices till stocks last. The models like X-Gear, Sylphy and Teana have been removed from the Nissan Malaysia’s official website.

The company also stated that after-sales services will be charged at 6% service tax in favour of the labour charge.
