SDAC wins at the 2020 Ford Direct Markets Awards programme

KUALA LUMPUR: With an aim to recognize the efforts of its distributor partners for delivering outstanding customer experience and operations, Ford Direct Markets started an annual Chairman’s and President’s Awards back in 2016. Recently, the company has announced the winners of the year 2020, and guess what, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) took home the prestigious Chairman’s Award for the second time.

The company gives away honour to a total of fifteen distributor partners across Ford’s vast Direct Markets business unit. The winners hail from American Samoa, Cambodia, Cameroon, Egypt, Fiji, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Morocco, Mozambique, Papua New Guinea, Qatar, Senegal, Tanzania, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Out of the fifteen accolades, a total of six distributor partners won the coveted Chairman’s Award. These are:

• Al Tayer Motors in the UAE
• Al Mana in Qatar
• ALJ Auto Jameel (LLC) in Egypt
• InterAuto in Mozambique
• Sime Darby in Malaysia
• Samoa Motors in American Samoa 

The programme evaluated the distributors on several parameters, including the highest level of overall customer satisfaction (CVP): highest level sales customer satisfaction (CVP), highest level service customer satisfaction (CVP), best sales performance (ASO), and best parts performance (ASO).

Sime Darby in Malaysia achieved the award for the highest level of sales and service customer satisfaction. Ford recognised the distributor as one of the very best distributor and dealer organisations around the world.

Ford's vast Direct Markets business unit covers the Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia Pacific Direct Markets. According to the company, the distributors across these territories have showcased outstanding commitment and contribution to the Ford business in the previous year.
