The Hyundai Elantra Sport Edition, Only 999 Units Released

KUALA LUMPUR: Unveiled by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors, this is the limited sport edition of the recently face lifted Hyundai Elantra FL. Only 999 units of this sports edition would be made available by the company, and if you desire to have one for yourself, you would have to shed RMP91,928 off the road plus the insurance.

Talking about the changes, the Hyundai Elantra Sport Edition carries with it a full body kit (front and rear bumper extensions), side skits and twin tail pipes. In order to enhance your driving experience, instead of usual audio system, it has a 6.2 inch touch screen inside, which comes with both DVD and bluetooth functions, plus you can also add a reverse camera by spending a generous amount of RM300. It will be available in two exterior colors- Creamy White and Phantom Black. Each of these sport edition would carry a barcode design along with the number ranging from 001-999, distinguishing each model.

As for the engine, this sport edition continues to feature the same Gamma 1.6 liter MPI engine that does the duty on the regular as Elentra FL, It gives the maximum power output of 130 PS and a peak torque of 150 Nm accompanied with a six-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.8 liter car which stands on a 17 inch wheel, it is supported by a 16 inch rim covered with 205/55 tyres, this is the major reason, why this sport edition appears smaller from its wheel view.

Coming on to the interior side, as we have already said that it would be having a 6.2 display screen along with tilt-only steering wheel and a steering audio button. but what it won't have includes the leather seats which are standard on the executive and premium variant.

Other features like the dual airbags, ESC, Hillstart Assist, Reflector headlamps, will be as per the 1.6 Elegance, here the only thing, it misses is the front fog lamp which are again available with the executive variant.

So priced at RMP91,928, with these comfort and power, we can say that you each of your penny is wellspent.
