Toyota Introduced facelifted Rush in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Toyota has been producing desirable passenger cars for more than 75 years now. The company has now come up with the facelift version of its much talked about SUV, Toyota Rush in Malaysia, just over a month after the renovated B-segment SUV was introduced in Indonesia. The SUV has come up with some noticeable changes including the redesigned front bumper, bonnet and radiator grille.

For the Malaysian customers, this SUV is made available in 3 variants;

-1.5G with five-speed manual transmission

-1.5G with four-speed automatic transmission

-1.5S with four-speed automatic transmission

There have been noticeable changes in the design layout of the car barring the engine. This SUV is powered by the sole 1.5 litre VVT-i petrol engine which can punch out a maximum power of 109 PS at 6000 rpm coupled with a peak torque of 141 Nm at 4400 rpm. Another distinguishable feature about this SUV is the electrically-assisted power steering (EPS) the result of which is an even more agile performance and handling.

Just like the typical sturdy SUVs, the new Toyota Rush has been given a bold and athletic demeanor. The redesigned front bumper features an elegant 2 tone effect finish and the radiator grille has been finished with faux carbon-fibre. The new integrated chrome finished highlight flowing through the headlamp and grille along with the dynamic bonnet gives the SUV an air of charisma. Nothing has been really changed at the rear side except the minor rework on the restyled rear lamp which features combination LEDs and a smoked lens. The new Rush comes employed with elegant 16 inch alloy wheels which exude dynamism even when the car is standing still, it further adds to the sporty look. The tyre measurements have been broadened to 235/60 from the earlier available 215/65.

Even the interiors won't fail to impress; the cabin is based on a dark grey color theme with red stitching running across the seat covers. The grey interior features three rows of seats in a 2-3-2 configuration. The standard features available in all the 3 variants encompass a 2-DIN CD player with MP3, USB and Bluetooth interface accompanied with a six-speaker audio system, rear air con vents and blower controls. The 1.5S variant offers even more features including LED positioning lamps in the standard headlamps, fog lamps, chrome finished wing mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and gear knob. Safety hasn't really gone unnoticed from this SUV and the standard safety features incorporated include dual SRS airbags, brakes with ABS and 2 pairs of ISOFIX arrangement in the second row.

Five vibrant color choices are available for this dynamic SUV, one of which is completely new to the range is the Grey Metallic. The other shade choices are Champagne Metallic, Black Metallic, Silver Mica Metallic and White. The price tags across all the variants range from RM 98,000 to RM 103,300 (with insurance).
