Triumph launches entire 2020 Tiger 900 range

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 has been released and is available in five different variants. The base variant is called Tiger 900. For heavy-duty riding, there are Tiger 900 Rally and Rally Pro, and for adventure touring, there are Tiger 900 GT and GT Pro.

The entire Tiger 900 range comes with 888 cc Euro 5 compliant inline-triple engine, ditching the previous 799 cc mill of the Tiger 800. It is capable of churning out a maximum power of 93.9 hp at 8,750 rpm and the peak torque of 87 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox.

2020 Tiger 900 is equipped with a 7-inch TFT-LCD screen having four colour and four display options. Tiger 900 GT and Rally get Bluetooth My Triumph connectivity as an option, while in the Pro versions, it is standard.

The Tiger 900 specs get LED lighting all-around along with the LED DRLs. The GT Pro and Rally Pro models feature the LED auxiliary riding lights. Both the Pro versions have an up-and-down quick-shifter as standard, while other versions may have it as an optional feature.

Suspension-wise, the base Tiger 900 comes with 45 mm non-adjustable upside-down forks along with preload-adjustable monoshock at the front. The adventure touring models GT and GT Pro have 45 mm upside-down forks having 180 mm of travel, while the rear suspension is different. For the GT, there is an RSU manually adjustable preload and rebound monoshock unit, while the GT Pro model features electronically adjustable unit for preload and rebound damping and 170 mm travel.

The Tiger 900 Rally and Rally Pro features 45 mm fully-adjustable upside-down forks along with 240 mm of travel at the front and a preload and rebound adjustable monoshock unit having 250 mm of travel is present at the back.
