BYD Atto 2

The 2025 Byd Atto 2 gets eco-friendly vegan/synthetic leather. The seat surface, door armrests and some dashboard areas use soft-touch materials. The stitched trim lends a premium feel without animal leather. The upper dashboard and door tops get tactile padding. The lower plastics are durable. Other features include a centre-console storage, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, 60/40 split rear seats, electrically heated & adjustable mirrors, ambient cabin lighting, and one-touch windows. Seat comfort and bolstering are tuned for everyday comfort instead of being sporty. It’s good for urban commuting and long trips. But taller passengers may find the rear-seat headroom and legroom a bit crammed. The dashboard is dominated by a 10.1-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment unit connected to a multi-speaker audio system. The display is sharp. There’s an 8.8-inch full-colour digital instrument cluster. The display isn’t ultra-wide but legible and well-integrated behind the wheel. 

The 2025 Byd Atto 2 measures 4,310mm in length, 1,830mm in width, and 1,675mm in height. The car has a wheelbase of 2,620mm. The cars sports the brand’s dragon face aesthetic with short overhangs and dynamic body curves, shaped by Byd’s design director Wolfgang Egger. The Atto 2 gets all-around LED lighting. A harmonious blend of headlights paired with slim daytime running lights (DRLs) forge a clean front-end. There are silver accents and sharp angles on the bumper that includes vertical air curtains. The blacked-out C-pillars and streamlined roofline create a floating roof illusion. The car gets flush door handles and protective lower-body cladding. The rear-end gets a full-width light bar that connects the taillights. A sporty roof spoiler and faux rear diffuser with bright accents complete the look. The 2025 Byd Atto 2 runs on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The 2025 Byd Atto 2 is available in Harbour Grey, Ski White, and Breeze Green colour options in the Malaysian market.

The 2025 Byd Atto 2 is mounted on a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion-beam at the back. The suspension is tuned to prioritize comfort. It delivers a plush, compliant ride that irons out speed bumps effectively. But there’s some body roll during cornering and less responsive handling controls at higher speeds. At a low speed, the ride is calm and comfortable for city driving. On twisty roads, the steering remains predictable and reasonably precise, with minimal jitter. It’s still clearly tuned for comfort.

The 2025 Byd Atto 2 is equipped with a single permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 175 PS/290 Nm. The motor is powered by a 51.12 kWh Blade battery. It returns a mileage of 410 km. The powertrain can hit 0-100 kmph is 7.9 seconds. Top speed is around 160 kmph. On city roads, the linear power delivery and precise, lightweight steering makes the car agile and easy to negotiate on congested roads. On highways, the 2025 Byd Atto 2 remains composed and sufficiently punchy for overtaking. It can cruise comfortably at around 120 kmph though some wind noise becomes more noticeable. The 2025 Byd Atto 2 manages to strike a smart balance between steady highway capability and city-focused responsiveness.

The Byd Atto 2 is equipped with a robust safety system and a comprehensive driver-assist suite. The car comes with a 360-degree camera system. It includes rear cameras along with front and rear parking sensors to aid manoeuvring. A millimetre-wave radar handles rear cross-traffic alerts and braking. The system also comprises blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and emergency braking. All these are backed by driver-monitoring and intelligent high-beam control. The camera-sensor-radar combines to form a reliable safety net.
