Have you ever tried to keep an athlete calm during warm-ups? If not, well, that’s exactly how I felt driving the Civic Type R on the Malaysian roads. The 2.0L turbo engine, pushing 319 hp, delivers a surge that’s downright addictive. Its 6-speed manual transmission feels weirdly precise for the tiring traffic jams. Thanks to its adaptive dampers, cruising over the uneven patches felt smooth and comforting, ensuring every person on board wouldn’t feel the jolts. I truly appreciated the heavily bolstered seats and Honda’s signature LogR system, which made long drives surprisingly fun. The only downside— heat builds up quite fast when the car comes to a standstill in traffic.
