For me, the GLE Coupe is one of those SUVs that might feel a beast on the outside, but is surprisingly fluid and comforting once you sit behind the wheel. The 3.0-liter mild-hybrid engine provides confident acceleration, while the body control feels well-tuned for the Malaysian highway bends. While driving over the uneven patches, I did notice how firm and balanced its suspension felt, which indeed is praiseworthy. The infotainment screen layout is crisp and clean, while the seating position feels commanding but not too stiff to cause discomfort. Its sporty roofline imparts a stylish feel, especially at night. However, the rear visibility has been reduced slightly due to the roofline.
