The GLS is that rare full-sized, colossal SUV that maintains its composure even when the luggage is stacked, and the cabin is fully loaded. Its 3.0-liter inline-six mild-hybrid engine continues to deliver power smoothly, especially during overtakes on the wide highways. I do appreciate the clarity its MBUX interface provides during the long drives, while the ventilation system offers exemplary relief on days that are too humid. The third row is quite livable for adults on medium-distance trips, and the suspension softens every jolt without hassle. For me, the only consistent limitation is the SUV’s sheer length in tighter urban spaces, which somehow makes maneuvering in tight spaces challenging.
