Very unreliable and costly to maintain

After owning Toyota for years I made an exciting shift to the Volvo brand. I recently purchased the XC90 intimidated by its claims of efficiency and luxury in a single package. However, just within a few months of ownership, I have encountered numerous issues with this vehicle. Despite its good fuel efficiency and smooth ride, I have encountered many issues such as power steering problems, airbag light malfunctions, and shuddering jolts, each requiring uncertain diagnoses and multiple visits to the dealership. These reliability issues have cast a shadow over my future ownership prospects.

  • Frustrating mechanical problems, not very reliable
