Lambretta X250 and G350 scooters set to launch soon in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Are you a fan of Italian two-wheelers or vintage scooters? If so, get ready to celebrate because a beloved classic marque is making a comeback on Malaysian roads. We are talking about Lambretta, the legendary Italian scooter brand, which is set to return to Malaysia with a bang after more than six decades. 

Lambretta has officially announced its presence in Malaysia. The automaker will be opening five official stores in Malaysia, located strategically across the country including Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang, and Kuching. 

The first two Lambretta scooters that will be launching soon in Malaysia are the X250 and G350 models. The Lambretta X250 and G350 scooters feature a timeless design, modern amenities, and powerful engines. The X250 is equipped with a 275 cc engine delivering 25 hp and 27 Nm of torque. The G350, on the other hand, boasts a larger 330 cc EFI engine with 27 hp and 27 Nm of torque.

Founded in 1947, the brand is inspired by olive green Cushman scooters used in Italy during the war. The goal of the founders was to create a scooter that was easy to ride, suitable for both men and women and kept passengers' clothes clean. Over time, Lambretta introduced several affordable yet chic models. Early Lambretta scooters had unique features like independent wheel suspension and a special two-stroke engine.
