Risky to drive on damaged roads

My half an hour commute with the Toyota Corolla feels like a rally race. In my area the roads are brutal—full of constant speed bumps, deep potholes and broken patches. With every jolt my Toyota Corolla grumbles alot. The suspension has started feeling a bit soft, and I can hear rattling from the dash which reminds me that it has taken a beating. I have tried to dodge the worst patches, but in my area even the highways have sections that can completely swallow a a small car like the Corolla. Now I have to time my routes to avoid traffic so that I can spare the undercarriage and drive slower.
