Yamaha Tracer 900 GT

The Yamaha Tracer 9 GT comes with a modern design and appeal. The sports tourer looks sharp and aggressive with a striking presence on the roads. To begin with, the motorcycle is offered in two color options, Redline and Icon Performance (which is a combination of silver, blue, and black). The motorcycle comes with an upright stance, which is a noticeable element of its design. 

The bike is long, measuring 2175 mm in length and has a very sharp and slender build perfect for sports touring purposes. The bike gets twin 3.5″ TFT displays* that not just add to the overall appearance of the bike but also provide intuitive, easy to read data during your rides. The sleek and aesthetic design gets some contemporary touches like a tall adjustable windscreen, fairings that are wind tunnel tested and enhanced aerodynamics and rider comfort. The motorcycle gets LEDs all around for its lighting system including headlamps, DRLs and tail lamps.

The IMU also brings a range of  additional gears including cruise control, traction control, four ride modes, side control, and wheelie control.

The Tracer 9 GT is not just about great looks and rider comfort but comes with reliable and exhilarating performance that would surely impress any sports touring enthusiast. The latest iteration of the Tracer 9 GT comes with a new 889 cc engine which is 1.7 kg lighter than the previous 847 cc unit. To enhance performance, the new exhaust assembly  weighs 1.4 kg less than the one on the previous model. Transmission is a six-speed manual gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The clutch has been designed for a lighter pull at the lever. 

The Liquid-Cooled, 4-Stroke, 4-Valves, Triple Cylinder, DOHC engine can produce a maximum power of 119 PS at 10,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 93 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The first and second gear ratios have also been revised to deliver better low range performance. In terms of engine and performance, the Tracer 9 GT is much more sophisticated as compared to its predecessor the Tracer 900 GT. The engine also got a more upright position within the Deltabox chassis. It made for an improved front-to-rear weight distribution and enhanced rider feedback. 

The G-Axis IMU is definitely a great feature that enhances the safety of the ride. It offers commendable control in varying weather and surface conditions. The motorcycle comes with features like Traction Control System (TCS), Slide Control System (SCS) and front-wheel LIFT Control System (LIF) which makes for enhanced safety and stability while riding. For braking, it is equipped with hydraulic dual disc brakes of 298 mm at the front and hydraulic single disc of 245 mm at the rear end. Other safety features include lean-sensitive ABS and cornering stability control.
