The light weighted character of the Honda Dash 125, with the kerb weight of just 103 kgs, it is easy to maneuver for tackling city traffic. This is very helpful for those who are new to the world of two-wheeler motoring, as handling the Honda Dash 125 is very easy and convenient.
It is not only the handling which is benefited by the light kerb weight of the Honda Dash 125. The four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 125cc engine in the Honda Dash, with its power output of 10 PS, makes it the most powerful cub class bike of its category.
Despite being an entry-level cub class bike, the Honda Dash 125 is mechanically well sorted with the presence of alloy wheels and disc brakes at both the ends. With this, the Honda Dash 125 is one of the most affordable cub class bikes which gets disc brakes on both the wheels.
The Honda Dash 125 does get a full LED headlamp which looks nice and premium. However, the throw of the light from the headlamp isn’t too great in darkest of the conditions.

The full analog instrument console of the Honda Dash 125 has got a unique gear indicator. However, apart from it, the console looks a bit dated and odd due to loud colors in the background.

Dash 125 is available in 4 different colors - Red, Blue Metallic, Black Metallic and Respol.
The Honda Wave has been a mainstay of people looking for a reasonable set of wheels on a budget. Across different displacements, it has been satisfying the needs of Malaysian commuters for a long time. The Honda Wave Dash 110, first launched in 2011, holds a special place in the hearts and minds of riders. With just 110 cc it delivered a slight taste of sporty performance and styling to the everyday commuter. Having a one-make racing series of its own didn’t hurt either. Now after nearly seven years, Honda has given the underbone a much-needed upgrade with the launch of the Honda Dash 125. This new bike gets a 125 cc engine, replacing the old 110 cc mill along with a more stylish body.
Honda has launched the new bike in three different variants at three different price points– a single disc brake variant at RM 5999, a dual disc variant at RM 6299, and the Repsol edition at RM 6499. This puts it in the same league as the Yamaha Lagenda 115Z and the Sym Sport Rider 125i. Here is a look at the new underbone’s features and specifications.
The Dash 125 now comes with much more in your face styling than before. Upfront the rider is greeted by a new design LED headlight along with a clear visor on top of the handlebar cowl. The cowl and the front apron have a sharp angular design. There are slashes and scoops that you would not expect to find at this price point. The apron mounted front indicators and the pilot light give it even more presence.
From the sides, we can see the equally aggressive yet functional leg protectors with fierce graphics. Even the spine of the underbone gets a shrouded look normally reserved for bigger bikes. The riders of the new Dash 125 will always have a very modern view in front of them. Even the rear-view mirrors – often the most overlooked part of a budget design – get stylized to fit the rest of the bike. The seat and the tail section has been left otherwise practical if a little under-designed – except for the color matched rear grab handle. The long exhaust and the blacked-out engine components give the bike a compact and dynamic look. There are 17-inch five spoke stylish alloy wheels on each end with matched bright pinstriping. The 70/90 front wheel is tubeless but the rear 80/90 wheel isn’t.
With dimensions of 1894 mm (L) x 707 mm (W) x 1124 mm (H) and a wheelbase of 1237 mm, it does not stray far from its compact origins. Another dimension is added to the bike through its color options. There are four of these to choose from - Pearl Magellanic Black, Vivacity Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue, and the Repsol racing livery. That last bright orange color scheme comes with equally bright orange wheels. Additionally, there is some very handy storage under the seat and a new dashboard up front. While it is still analogue, it comes in a stylish new design and includes a gear indicator.
The underbone frame of the Dash 125 is suspended on telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers. The seat is low and accommodating at 767 mm. The handlebars have the same high position giving it a relaxed riding stance. The 26-degree caster angle and 108 mm of trail give it excellent handling – much like the bike’s previous iteration. The 142 mm of ground clearance makes it at home on bad roads. With just 103 kg to lug around fully loaded, the power feels sufficient and the handling can easily keep up.
Powering the Honda Dash 125 is an air-cooled SOHC 125 cc engine. Peak power of 9.8 hp comes at 8000 rpm and 9.54 Nm of peak torque is delivered at 6500 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheel using a four-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate clutch. The engine uses Honda’s PGM-Fi for fuel injection that gives it a good fuel economy, making the most of the 4 L fuel tank.
The S variant of the Honda Dash 125 comes with a single hydraulic disc brake up front and a drum brake on the rear. The R variant, on the other hand, comes with disc brakes both front and rear.
Honda has proven yet again that they are the best at making small capacity commuters that are also fun to ride. The Honda Dash 125 has some big shoes to fill, but going by the spec sheet alone, it shouldn’t have any problems.

I got this bike for myself because it met my requirements in terms of handling, performance and riding comfort. I learned riding a bike just a while ago and because of the Dash, my level of confidence has increased by
The Honda Dash 125 looks very fresh, and in my opinion, it is one of the best-looking underbone that is available in the Malaysian market right now. It is my very first bike and I must say, I was never wrong when I decided to rely on Honda for the name and the products that they offer to their end-users.
Don’t get fooled by the attractive colour combination and graphics, the Honda Dash 125 is a dedicated commuter. In fact, since I own it myself, I can tell you that it is probably the best commuter underbone scooters you will ever see. Not that it is cheap or something, the pricing is similar to even a Yamaha 135cc scooter. However,
I had been looking for a stylish motorcycle for daily commute purposes. All I needed was a good looking motorcycle with a decent engine and fuel economy that I can take to college on a daily basis. The Honda Dash 125 is an absolute masterclass from Honda. The bike stands out from all its competitors solely for its premium looks.
The Honda Dash 125 looks attractive with the body graphics and sharply styled body panels, which makes it look quite decent for a cub class bike of this price. What I particularly like about the Honda Dash is its positive traits from commuter’s point of view – the single piece seat is long and wide and comfortable for two adults
For a cub class bike meant for masses, the Honda Dash 125 looks extremely striking and sharp, and in the Repsol edition livery which I have got, it looks absolutely stunning and sporty. However, what drew me towards the Honda Dash 125 is that despite all the aggressive styling and the wild livery it wears, it is a very humble
The Dash 125 is the machine I used to learn to ride on. As a first time rider, I found the Dash easy to balance and ride. Honda did a great job with the refinement levels and the throttle response was very smooth. Although this is my first bike, I found it to be comfortable on most road conditions. Your
