The Honda X-ADV is a multi-purpose vehicle on two wheels which acts as a fantastic balance between a practical maxi-scooter and a thrilling-to-ride big adventure motorcycle. The Honda X-ADV is being offered in the Malaysian two-wheeler market, and is positioned as a super niche maxi-scooter with three different paint schemes on offer – Matte Bullet Silver, Grand Prix Red and Matte Moonstone Silver.
Thanks to its brilliant combination of a design of a maxi-scooter and stance of a full-blown adventure motorcycle, the Honda X-ADV boasts of a tremendous road presence, which truly makes it a niche product of its own.
The Honda X-ADV welcomes on with its captivating tall stance, which accommodates a futuristic-looking front fascia. This front fascia majorly includes twin LED headlamps, which look angular and are substantially separated by a small trapezoidal air vent between them. Below the headlamp, the lower portion of the front apron is finished in the tough-looking black plastic cladding. On the other hand, just above the headlamps, there is a rakish upper front apron finished in body color, at the top of which sits a fully adjustable windshield.
From the sides, the slightly high ground clearance, as well as tall spoke wheels, gives the Honda X-ADV an impression of an outright off-road adventure motorcycle. However, the overall layout of the busily styled body panels, the split floorboard and a lower positioned stepped large and wide seat give it the image of a maxi scooter. The steeply rising exhaust pipe, with its chrome shield, is something which is unusual on a scooter and is majorly present in a dual-purpose motorcycle.
At the back, the Honda X-ADV ends up with a wide tail lamp assembly, which houses a small hexagonal LED tail lamp within at, large and wide split pillion grab rails on its sides and a long rear fender fixed on its bottom, on which sleek LED turn indicators are mounted as well. The 21 liters of under-seat storage of the Honda X-ADV is good enough to house a full-face helmet, and has been equipped with a 12V socket and LED illumination inside it.
The rider’s cockpit of the Honda X-ADV welcomes you with its widely laid clip-on handlebars, in the middle of which is placed a rectangular full TFT instrument console. This display unit is placed slightly far ahead of the handlebar’s middle portion and shows digital information for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meters, clock, gear indicator and many other data while on the go.
Being a premium full-fledged scooter, the Honda X-ADV has been kitted with premium hardware under its flashy skin. Built around a steel diamond frame, the Honda X-ADV gets a suspension combination of 41 mm cartridge-type USD fork adjusts for spring preload and rebound damping at the front and Pro-link with rear shock preload adjustment at the rear. Even the braking setup of Honda X-ADV is quite premium with a pair of disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear.
Just like its overall styling, the Honda X-ADV is powered by a very off-beat engine and gearbox combination for a scooter. The engine in question is a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 8-valve, L-twin, fuel-injected 745cc engine, which is paired to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This is the only scooter in the world which has an L-twin engine married to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The engine is good enough to produce 54.8 PS of maximum power and 68 Nm of peak torque output. With a claimed fuel efficiency of 27 kmpl, the Honda X-ADV shows off its economic side as well.
This is one area where the Honda X-ADV could have been equipped a bit better than what it is. The scooter gets only the essentials on board in the form of a dual-channel ABS, the smart key system for keyless ignition and an engine kill switch.
One of the most niche two-wheelers around the world, the Honda X-ADV has created quite an unmistakable recognition for itself, both in terms of technology related to its mechanicals as well as visual appeal.
The Honda X Adv is a great fusion between a scooter that carries the stance of a bike! My favorite part of the bike is its front end which brings you the best of looks, enhanced by the beast-like headlights. Additionally, while the vehicle comes with the tag of a scooter, it’s not! Everything ranging from the stance of the

The Honda X-ADV is a tough and sleek motorcycle that is noted for its exceptional performance on and off the road. Even while I do not ride this bike on a daily basis, I do travel a lot on weekends on it, and it has always performed well. The tough style of this bike appeals to the majority of its
I have always loved traveling long distances on my bike. Earlier on, I used to take my Duke 200 for long trips that would be around 2000 kms round trip. But then, I came across the Honda X-ADV, which is honestly a big maxi-scooter that is tailor-made for adventure and offroad. I have taken this baby for a lot of
I am absolutely thrilled by maxi-scooters. Considering the fact that scooters are extremely comfortable to ride, I think maxi-scooters offer the same level of comfort while being equally powerful as a motorcycle. The same is the case with my Honda X-ADV. I don’t go for off-roading much but am frequent with highway tours. This scooter is designed to offer aerodynamics
The 2021 Honda X-Adv adventure scooter was launched late last year and the vehicle has come as a surprise. From the looks it seemed that the X-Adv would be a heavy scooter. But it’s rather lightweight. The test drive experience was pretty good. The engine is very powerful. There are 3 levels of traction control and that makes the Honda
My wife has gifted me with this bike on my promotion to a prestigious position as he knows nothing can overwhelm me like a bike can. This two wheeler is a wonderful amalgamation of a stable scooter and an ideal off road riding motorcycle. If you seek for whole lot of thrill in riding, you need to check this bike
For those who prefer scooters and want to experience the feeling of riding a superbike, Honda has offered an excellent solution with its intriguing super scooter, the X-ADV. Popular as an adventure scooter, it comes with a super powerful 745 cc engine that makes 54 hp of power. The scooter looks simply exclusive and elegant and is one the primary
I was waiting for the Honda X Adv to be launched here and took a test ride recently. I have never ridden an adventure-scooter before so won’t be able to compare it with any other vehicle of such a kind. But I found the scooter very stylish and sporty both in looks and performance. Adventure-scooters are rarely bought by common
The Honda X-ADV is a perfect bike for the adventure addicts like me who cannot stay at one place without going on frequent trips. It is also the right choice for adventure cravers who crave adventure even on their daily rides. The best part about this bike is its rough and tough design that can enchant any viewer who sees
