The Yamaha NVX looks incredibly striking, as the sharp, edgy and bulky design is an instant hit among the youth segment of buyers. In addition to it, the NVX is loaded with a number of features like front and rear LED lights, all-digital instrument console, front and rear disc brakes, and alloy wheels and keyless ignition.
The large dimensions of the Yamaha NVX give it the flexibility of having a sufficient amount of luggage storage capacity. While the under seat storage space of 25 liters is good enough for holding a full face helmet as well, the small cubbyhole below the handlebar with charging socket is handy as well.
As the Yamaha NVX comes with a slightly stepped up seat as on many entry-level sports bikes, the pillion seat is not as comfortable as in other scooters. The width too is at a premium, thus lacking the required under-thigh support.
To make its riding dynamics too agile and sporty, the ride quality of the Yamaha NVX is a bit stiff, which is a slight problem in tackling worse roads with suppleness.

Having launched three years back, Yamaha NVX has received much love and acclaim in the country. It sits right in the middle of the Yamaha’s lineup being a right package made up of some interesting tidbits. NVX attracts those people who like to multi-task because it is comfortable and sporty at the same time. This year, Yamaha brought the new NVX with new graphics for three exciting colours - Red, Yellow, and Blue. Since the launch, it is the second time when the automaker revised the model with the first colour update coming at the end of 2019. Meanwhile, Yamaha also rolled out some special versions like the GP edition and Doxou. Yamaha NVX price tag reads RM 10,088.
Yamaha has done a commendable job in designing NVX. It features a dual headlight setup with a very sharp design. To match the sharpness, the scooter has an aggressive front and side fairing. Also, the side-mounted exhaust further enhances the sporty look.
Compared to the earlier version, the new red option has more grey highlights with a bright red panel near the leg area. The new Yellow colour offers more black highlights, and the iconic Yamaha blue shade is further enhanced with grey accents to make it pop even more.
Dimensionally, it is 1990 mm long, 700 mm wide, and 1125 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1350 mm. Essentially being an underbone, there is a spine in the front where the fuel tank resides. The seat is high at 795 mm. Ground clearance is more than enough at 142 mm.
The big 14-inch wheels are wrapped in fat 110/80 53P tyres in the front and 140/70 62P tyres in the back. The grab bar at the rear is integrated into the body. The seat is fat and wide. The overall impression is one of a purpose-built beefy machine and not some dainty scooter.
Yamaha NVX comes with a giant 5.8-inch LCD digital display that serves as the instrument cluster. It is bathed in Yamaha blue and shows digits in white with some funky and interactive animations. The fuel filler cap, starter, and the seat can all be unlocked from the same knob. It also comes with a remote starter. Under the seat, it carries a gigantic 25-litre storage space that can easily swallow a full-face helmet. There is also a 12 V electrical outlet for charging devices that has its own protected space for storing said devices.
The scooter is relatively lightweight at 118 kg and is easy to swerve around traffic. It rides on 110/80-14M/C 53P front and 40/70-14M/C 62P rear tubeless tyres which provide enough grip to handle it well.
Coming to sturdy suspension, the front setup is telescopic only, but the forks measuring 26 mm in diameter capable of handling a lot more beating and enhancing stability. At the rear, there are swingarm-type dual shock absorbers for the sporty riding experience.
Powering the Yamaha NVX is a 155-cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine capable of generating 14.7 bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 13.8 Nm of peak torque at 6250 rpm. It comes with fuel injection for precise fuelling to enhance performance and fuel efficiency.
Moreover, the engine is topped up with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology that further enhances its performance. Yamaha also added VVA (variable valve actuation), which ensures a sufficient amount of power throughout the rev band.
According to Yamaha, the NVX is able to deliver a mileage of 45 kmpl. It is indeed Yamaha’s first vehicle to be rated as an Energy Efficient Vehicle.
The scooter comes with a drum brake that works brilliantly with the disc in the front. There is also an ABS that comes as standard and provides confidence while braking on slippery surfaces.
Yamaha has tried hard to make the NVX an all-rounder vehicle. With all these features on the specs sheet, it stands firmly against its competitors, including Honda PCX and Yamaha’s s own NMax, and would not disappoint you in case you decide to buy one.
My brother gifted me the Yamaha NVX a month back and I am very satisfied with its performance. Sporty and stylish, it is lightweight, low maintenance, and very easy to handle. This bike is perfect for daily commuters as it delivers a decent speed and power with a 155cc engine, cuts corners with ease, and helps you navigate through busy
A perfect bike that will satisfy you to the core not only with its intense comfort factor but with its sporty style as well. This combination is somewhat rare in bike segment. Thus I consider myself truly lucky since I got this. This bike is available in some appealing color tones of which I opted for the bold red shade.
This underbone automatic scooter from Yamaha is an excellent package at a really affordable price. The scooter has a 5.8-inch LCD panel, an electric socket for smartphone charging, and a really impressive underseat storage of almost 25 liters. The 155-cc engine of the scooter, paired with Yamaha's Blue Core technology helps get the best performance and fuel efficiency, which of

The best part of this bike is its overall looks. I fell for this bike for it looks strikingly beautiful and I found this apt for young buyers in specific. The design has somewhat bulky and edgy feel that I actually cherished. This bike is inclusive of hosts of features like all digital instrument console, LED lights both at the
There are stylish and sharp-looking scooters and then there is the NVX. This automatic scooter is truly in a league of its own when it comes to design. It looks very bulky and modern has vibrant graphics that easily steal your attention. I find this bike to be very practical as it gets a decent amount of underseat storage along
The Yamaha NVX has been my dream bike ever since it arrived in the Malaysian market. It is without a doubt, one of the meanest looking 155cc vehicles that are available. It was only after a long 2waiting period and some hard earned cash when I was actually able to own this bike and had the opportunity to ride it.
Not many scooters are bulky and muscular, except the maxi ones. I wanted to buy something little different than the regular underbone body styles, something that looked muscular. Bang! The Yamaha NVX popped up in the showroom and I loved it. I booked it and got the delivery without delays. I can rant on the design without getting tyres. Apparently,
The first thing that strikes you about the Yamaha NVX 2020 is its handsome looks. For a 155cc bike, the NVX has a rather bulky yet sharp design. It’s targeted towards the youth segment who loves good-looking pseudo-sports bikes for daily use. The bike has 25 liters of underseat storage space which is enough for an urban two-wheeler. The NVX
For a 150cc scooter, I find the Yamaha NVX absolutions scintillating in terms of visual appeal. The super aggressive looking bodywork, in my opinion, is even better than many purposely designed sports bikes. With a strong road presence, the Yamaha NVX is a sure shot head turner. And thankfully, it is not an all show and no go thing, for
