All-new 2025 Yamaha NVX launched in Malaysia - Two variants, starts from RM 11,998

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia has introduced the all-new NVX in the Malaysian market. The upgraded Yamaha scooter is offered in two variants - ABS and SP, priced at RM 11,998 and RM 14,998 (on the road, without insurance), respectively.

Colours

The Yamaha NVX ABS is offered in Electric Yellow and Violet Rush, while the NVX SP is available in Gunmetal Grey and Cyber Blue, both in striking, electrifying shades.

Engine and transmission

At the core of the latest NVX SP scooter lies the 155-cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Bluecore VVA engine paired with a new Electric CVT (Y-ECVT) technology. The latter features the Downshift function, offering a kick in acceleration, creating a sensation similar to a turbocharger.

The engine delivers a maximum power of 15.1 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 6,200 rpm. With the top-spec SP variant, Yamaha also offers dual riding modes - 

• T-Mode (Town) - for relaxed commuting
• S-Mode (Sport Mode) - for a more spirited ride

Notably, the NVX ABS features the 155 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine (generating the same level of output) combined with a conventional CVT, rather than the new electric CVT. 

Design and features

The 2025 NVX 155 boasts a stylish and dynamic appearance with new body panels and redesigned front and rear lighting. The automaker has also enhanced the ergonomics with the fitment of slightly taller separation between the rider’s and pillion’s seats. The scooter rides on 14-inch wheels wrapped with 110/80 front and 140/70 rear tyres, respectively.

Providing the riders all driving-related essential information is a new TFT metre panel supporting the Yamaha Y-Connect feature. It offers smartphone connectivity for Google Maps navigation, maintenance updates, fuel consumption, and ride history. The ABS trim comes with a simpler LCD meter cluster, which also supports the Y-Connect system.

Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia offers several exclusive accessories for the SP variant to make it look more appealing on the road. These include- 

• A sporty front windscreen
• Aluminum license plate holder
• Front winglets
• Rubber floor mats

Other key highlights include - USB-C charging socket, traction control (SP only), Emergency Stop Signal, Keyless Start, and Stop-Start System.

Suspension and braking

The suspension setup consists of telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Handling the braking duties are disc brakes on both wheels, with the front unit supported by ABS.

The all-new 2025 Yamaha NVX is now available at all authorised Hong Leong Yamaha dealerships across Malaysia.
