There is a new e-scooter for the urban youth, the Piaggio 1

KUALA LUMPUR: Piaggio recently unveiled its brand new electric scooter that targets the urban youth living in congested cities. Justifying its urban tag from the start, the Piaggio 1 was revealed by the brand on its TikTok page. Even its design language screams smart and modern.

The company is offering the Piaggio 1 in three trim options, all differing from one another in terms of power output. Their name goes as follows -

• Piaggio 1
• Piaggio 1+
• Piaggio 1 Active

Let us discuss each variant precisely, starting with the base model, Piaggio 1 that comes equipped with a 1.2kW e-motor that calls for a top speed of 45 kmph and a range of 55 km in ECO & 48 km in Sport mode. All this is possible thanks to its 1.4kWh battery.

The mid-range Piaggio 1+, on the other hand, gets a slightly bigger 2.3kWh battery pack that helps it cover around 100 km in a single charge. One full charge takes six hours.

The range-topping Piaggio 1 Active trim benefits from a 2.3kWh battery pack and 2kW motor. All this helps the e-scooter hit a top speed of 60 kmph. In ECO mode, it hits a range of 85 km.

All the three Piaggio 1 three e-scooter variants come equipped with a removable battery pack that makes the battery easy to charge.

What else does the Piaggio 1 get? Well, you’d be happy to know that the Piaggio e-scooter is equipped with several modern features like - all-LED lighting, a 5.5-inch digital colour LCD display, Piaggio Keyless System, and Kinetic Energy Recovery System. It also offers sufficient under seat storage and a comfortable riding position.
