Lynk & Co 01, 05, and 06 make appearance at 2024 Manila International Auto Show
KUALA LUMPUR: The automotive industry of the Philippines has recently witnessed a surge of innovation at the Manila International Auto Show 2024, where leading automakers unveiled their latest offerings to eager enthusiasts. Among the standout participants was Lynk & Co, the Chinese-Swedish car brand owned by Geely, who took centre stage with an impressive display of its several models, including the 01, 06, 05, and 03+.

Lynk & Co 01
The Lynk & Co 01 is a compact SUV measuring 4,512 mm in length, 1,857 mm in width, and 1,673 mm in height and spans a 2,734-mm long wheelbase. The Philippine-spec model is equipped with a plug-in hybrid setup combining a 1.5-litre three-cylinder MPI engine, an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery pack, and a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The setup kicks out a maximum power of 262 PS and a peak torque of 265 Nm and offers an all-electric range of up to 69 kilometres. It is priced at Php 2.338 million (RM 196,751).
Lynk & Co 05
The Lynk & Co 05 is the coupe version of the 01, slightly longer and wider at 4,592 mm and 1,879 mm, respectively; however, it is slightly shorter at 1,628 mm. The wheelbase remains unchanged. The coupe comes equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo gasoline mill, an all-wheel-drive system, and premium appointments. The price tag reads Php 2.748 million (RM 231,255).
Lynk & Co 06
Smaller than the Lynk & Co 01, the 06 is a subcompact crossover SUV that measures 4340 mm in length, 1820 mm in width, and features a 2540 mm wheelbase. It is offered in two variants in the Philippines - Hyper Pro and Hyper Halo, both powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder gasoline turbo engine churning out 170 PS and 265 Nm of torque. The price begins at Php 1.488 million (RM 125,221) and goes up to Php 1.598 million (RM 134,456).
Lynk & Co 03+
The automaker also displayed the Lynk and Co 03+ at the event. It is a motorsport-bred sport sedan, which boasts an impressive pedigree as a six-time World Tour Car Cup (WTCR) champion. In 2019, it made headlines by breaking two lap records at the renowned Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Lynk & Co has entered the Philippine market to tap the rising demand for electrified vehicles in Southeast Asia, following its debut in Vietnam last year. United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) is in charge of distributing Lynk and Co cars in the Philippines. Notably, UAAGI also takes care of Chery and FOTON brands in the country.

Geely confirmed its plan to bring Lynk & Co to Malaysia back in 2021 and revealed its intention to produce RHD models at Proton's Tanjung Malim facility. However, we are yet to receive any further updates regarding its progress.
