KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s two-wheeler vehicle space recently welcomed a new member, known as the Aveta Ranger Max Explorer. The new Aveta bike is touted as the “First Adventure Cub in Malaysia” and retails for RM 6,988 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration).

    Design and features

    The bike has a modern-retro design with a distinctive round LED headlamp, a round digital LED speedometer, classic side mirrors, a rear LED lamp, and multi-spoke rims (18-inch front and 16-inch rear) wrapped in YuanXing tyres.

    Aveta Ranger Max Explorer

    Built on a lightweight and solid frame, the Ranger Max Explorer comes with off-roading capabilities thanks to high ground clearance and the elevated tailpipe. Adding to the comfort and convenience is a high handlebar, high-loading capacity (front, mid and rear racks), USB charger port for on-the-go charging, and auto-clutch for easier shifting.

    Engine

    The Ranger Max Explorer runs on a 127 cc single-cylinder SOHC air-cooled engine producing a maximum power of 10 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheel through a manual four-speed gearbox and chain final drive system.

    Suspension and braking

    The suspension setup of the affordable Aveta Adventure Cub comprises telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, As for the braking, the front axle gets a disc brake while the rear comes with a mechanical drum unit.

    The deliveries of the new Aveta Ranger Max Explorer will begin on December 11 2023, at all authorised Aveta dealerships across the country.
