Limited edition CCM Motorcycle Heritage 71 is here to impress

KUALA LUMPUR: CCM Motorcycles is celebrating its 50th anniversary and to pay tribute to its founder, Alan Clews, the brand has unveiled a limited edition model, the Heritage 71.

CCM (Clews Competition Machines) has used the Spitfire as the underpinning of the Heritage 71, however, with lightweight components all around.

The key highlight of the limited edition Heritage 71 is its titanium frame, a material Cews wanted to work with prior to his death, but unfortunately never did. This 3AL/2.5v CWSR frame weighs 38 percent less than the one used in the CCM Spitfire and is welded by TIG.

Further helping the motorcycle to cut back its weight are the special edition Dymag wheels that reduced unsprung weight by 12 kg. Meaning, on an empty tank the motorcycle weighs 136 kg and on a full tank around 150 kg.

Also, hard to miss is the custom-made exhaust which is hand-welled from 62 individual titanium pieces.

What powers the CCM Motorcycle Heritage 71?

Powering the limited edition model is a 600 cc, liquid-cooled mill pumping out a maximum power of 64 hp along with a peak torque of 66 Nm. Its power-to-weight ratio is 0.64 kg per hp which is even better than the Lamborghini Aventadore.
