KUALA LUMPUR: MForce Bike Holdings has introduced a new entry-level street bike in Malaysia, called the Morbidelli F252. Positioned in the sub-250cc class, this is a lightweight urban machine that offers aggressive streetfighter styling and modern electronics at a relatively accessible price, making it appealing to new riders in town.

    Engine and transmission 

    Powering the new Morbidelli sport bike is a 249.5-cc two-cylinder liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine tuned to make 33.5 hp of maximum power at 12,000 rpm and 20 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox and a chain final drive system.

    Design and features

    Designed with everyday usability in mind, the Morbidelli F252 is built for agility and ease of handling. It boasts a streetfighter-inspired design language highlighted by angular bodywork and muscular stance. It comes loaded with a wide range of features, including - 

    • Full LED lighting system
    • 5-inch TFT-LCD display with Morbidelli app support and Bluetooth connectivity 
    • Traction control
    • Three ride modes – Standard, Sport and Expert
    • Two-channel anti-lock braking system
    • Slipper clutch assist
    • Side-stand safety switch
    • USB charging ports (Type-A and Type-C)
    • 17-inch wheels with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres
    • 790 mm seat height
    • 15-litre fuel tank

    Suspension and braking 

    Handling the suspension duties are upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The braking setup comprises a 300 mm single floating front disc, paired with a 240 mm single rotor at the rear.
