Two new Cyclone scooters launched in Malaysia - RT2S and RT5

KUALA LUMPUR: After making their first official local appearance at Malaysia Bike Show (Mforce MotoXperience 2026), the Cyclone RT2S and RT5 scooters are now up for grabs in the market. Distributed by Cyclone Malaysia under MForce Bike Holdings, these latest models are designed for everyday usability and long journeys, catering to the evolving needs of Malaysian riders.

Cyclone RT2S

• Priced at RM 13,888 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration), the Cyclone RT2S is a sporty urban scooter for daily commuting and medium-distance travel.
• At its heart lies a 247-cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve single-cylinder engine that kicks out a maximum power of 26.14 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 24.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Sending power to the rear wheel is a CVT automatic transmission and a belt drive system.
• The scooter rides on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels, wrapped with 110/80 front and 140/60 rear tyres. 

• Handling the suspension duties is a telescopic fork at the front and a spring-damper system at the rear. The braking setup includes single disc brakes at both ends, complemented by an Anti-lock Braking System.
• Other key highlights include - all-around LED lighting, a TFT display metre, a Type-A USB charging port, a smart key system, an adjustable windscreen, a 12.6-litre fuel tank, a side stand safety switch, front and rear dashcams, a traction control system and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
• Available colour options for the Cyclone RT2S are - Prestige Black and Strong Grey.

Cyclone RT5

• Priced at RM 16,888, the Cyclone RT5 is a touring-ready scooter that comes with a touring-oriented package with additional equipment.
• It is powered by the same 247-cc engine as the RT2S, producing the same levels of output. 
• The RT5 runs on 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels shod with 120/70 front and 140/60 rear tyres.
• The suspension system comprises a telescopic front fork and dual shock rear absorbers. As for braking, it gets front and rear disc brakes with Bosch systems and two-channel ABS.

• With the Cyclone RT5, customers get a larger 18-litre fuel tank and multiple storage compartments (under the seat and left and right of the front cowl)
• The feature kit includes - Full LED lights, TFT metre display with Carbit Ride app connectivity, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, Smart keyless system, Dual-side dashcams, Blind Spot Detection, traction control system, a tyre pressure monitoring system, motorised side mirrors & centre stand and a parking brake.
• Available colour options for the Cyclone RT5 are - Prestige Black, Strong Grey and Alabaster.

The Cyclone RT2S and RT5 come with a standard 2-year or 20,000 km warranty, with the engine components having a separate 2-year or unlimited mileage warranty instead.
