Malaysia gets a new sport-touring maxi-scooter, the Kymco XCITING VS 400

KUALA LUMPUR: MODENAS, the official distributor of Kymco models in Malaysia, has brought a new Kymco scooter to the local shores, called the XCITING VS 400. It is a sport-touring maxi-scooter designed for both city commuting and weekend adventures.

Kymco XCITING VS 400: Price

The Kymco XCITING VS 400 is priced at RM 27,988 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration) in Malaysia. Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

Kymco XCITING VS 400: Key highlights 

• The new Kymco scooter boasts a modern and dynamic look combining futuristic styling with advanced engineering for a premium riding experience.

• It is powered by a 400-cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 33.4 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and a peak torque of 37.5 Nm at 5,750 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via an automatic continuously variable transmission.
• The XCITING VS 400 comes equipped with all-around LED lighting, a five-level adjustable windscreen, a two-stage seat and a sport-styled LED digital display that offers clear visibility during daytime riding.

• The scooter rides on 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels wrapped with 120/70 front and 150/70 rear tyres.
• Handling the suspension setup is a telescopic fork up at the front and twin rear shock absorbers at the rear. The braking setup comprises dual front disc brakes and a single rear disc brake, complemented by a dual-channel ABS.
• Other key highlights include - Daytime Running Lights, a traction control system, keyless operation, 29-litre illuminated under-seat storage, and a 12.5-litre fuel tank.

• Two available colour options are - Flat Black and Cerulean Blue.
