KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian two-wheeler industry has just welcomed a new Chinese brand called Marshal Moto. Known for its heavy-duty cruisers, large-displacement V-twin models, and custom-style bikes, Marshal Moto makes its local debut with two exciting cruisers: the Marshal XS250 and Marshal Toughman 800.

    • The Marshal XS250 is an entry-level modern cruiser, tuned for smooth urban commuting and moderate highway capability.
    • It is powered by a high-revving 248 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum of 24.6 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 23.4 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Sending power to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox mated to a chain final drive system.
    • Weighing 193 kg, the bike has a 690 mm seat height with 16-inch wheels wrapped with 130/90 front and 150/80 rear tyres.
    • The suspension setup comprises telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. As for braking, it gets single hydraulic discs at both ends paired with two-piston floating callipers and two-channel ABS.

    • The Marshal Toughman 800 is a larger-capacity cruiser, designed for longer-distance riding.
    • Inspired by American drag-style cruisers, the Toughman 800 comes with a low 695 mm seat height, dual straight exhaust pipes, and 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with 130/70 front and a massive 240/45 rear tyre.
    • At its core lies a 799 cc V-twin (8-valve) liquid-cooled engine, which delivers 46.9 hp of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 61.9 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel with a six-speed gearbox and a belt drive system.
    • Handling the suspension duties are telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers with adjustable spring preload. As for braking, it gets single hydraulic discs front and rear with two-channel ABS.
    • Available colour options are Cobalt Blue and Pearl Black.

    With the Toughman 800 and XS250, Marshal Moto makes a promising entry into the local market, offering Malaysians two cruisers with bold designs and capable performance.
