Honda NX500, CB750, and Transalp get E-Clutch system in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: After the CBR650R and CB650R, three more Honda bikes in Malaysia - the NX500, CB750, and Transalp get the industry-first E-Clutch system. By delivering smoother, more precise shifts, the Honda E-Clutch unlocks a new level of performance and makes every ride more exhilarating. 

For commuters and new riders, the system helps remove the fear of stalling and the stress of the clutch lever, making every journey more comfortable and enjoyable.

Understanding Honda E-Clutch technology 

The E-Clutch offers clutch-free starts, stops, and gear changes while keeping full manual operation available at any time. It is designed to make motorcycling even more enjoyable and exciting; it gives the rider a choice of automatic clutch operation by simply using the shift pedal. 

The system combines the brand’s dual-clutch transmission and the benefits of a quick shifter, providing seamless up and downshifts without engaging the clutch lever, even when starting or stopping. 

It elevates the riding experience for everyone from beginners to veteran riders and everyone in between -

Experienced riders	It enhances sporty riding with quick, precise gear changes and automatic throttle blipping during downshifts. It delivers smoother, more controlled riding while retaining full manual control when needed.
Riders upgrading to a bigger capacity bike	It is the safety net that makes the transition less intimidating by eliminating the fear of stalling and the need to perfectly master the clutch before enjoying the ride.
New riders	It removes the barrier of the clutch lever entirely, allowing you to focus on throttle, braking, and road awareness.

New Honda E-CLUTCH lineup: Key highlights

Honda NX500 with Honda E-Clutch

Offering a balance of comfort, practicality, and capability, this crossover adventure bike is powered by a 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that generates a maximum power of 37kW and a peak torque of 45Nm. Weighing 199kg, the bike comes with an 830 mm seat height and Honda Selectable Torque Control for rear-wheel traction management, which makes it suitable for both everyday riding and light off-road exploration.

Honda CB750 with Honda E-Clutch

The CB750 is the first model to combine Honda E-Clutch with Throttle-By-Wire (TBW).  The integration with TBW enables automatic throttle blipping during downshifts for smoother gear changes.

Based on an ultra-lightweight frame, the bike is equipped with a 755-cc parallel-twin engine kicking out 67.5kW and 75 Nm, Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD forks and Pro-Link rear suspension. Adding to the sporty performance are five riding modes, Honda Selectable Torque Control, Wheelie Control, and Engine Braking adjustment.

Honda Transalp with Honda E-Clutch

Offering long-distance comfort as well as genuine adventure capability, the Honda Transalp comes with a 755-cc Unicam parallel-twin that produces 67.5 kW of maximum power and 75 Nm of peak torque. Other key highlights: Throttle-by-wire tech, six riding modes, Showa 43 mm SFF-CATM USD forks and rear shock with compression and rebound damping adjustment.

The Honda NX500 and Honda CB750 with Honda E-Clutch are now available at Honda BigWing whilst the Honda Transalp is expected to arrive in December 2026.
