Keeway RKR250 sports bike arrives in Malaysia - price starts from RM 13,888

KUALA LUMPUR: MForce Bike Holdings Sdn. Bhd. has introduced a new Keeway model in Malaysia, called the RKR250. It is a fully-faired entry-level sports bike featuring an aggressive design, modern features and approachable performance, designed to appeal to young riders.

Price 

The Keeway RKR250 is priced at RM 13,888 (excluding road tax, insurance or registration) in Malaysia. Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

Engine and transmission

At the heart of the new Keeway bike lies a 249.3-cc two-cylinder, eight-valve DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to make 31.5 hp of maximum power at 10,500 rpm and 22.5 Nm of peak torque at 9,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox paired with a chain final drive and a slipper-clutch system.

Design and features 

The Keeway RKR250 features a racing-inspired, Italian-influenced styling with sharp body panels and sculpted fairing. The front face gives it a mini sportbike vibe, featuring LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights and a sporty windscreen. Towards the rear, we can see sharp LED indicators and tail lamps.

Suspension and braking 

The suspension setup comprises 40 mm telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. Helping the bike stop is a 320 mm floating front disc with a 4-piston calliper, along with a 240 mm rear disc paired with a 1-piston calliper.
