Keeway XDV 180 EVO up for grabs in Malaysia - Rugged design, smart features

KUALA LUMPUR: Just after the MODA Shifter 400X, the Malaysian scooter market welcomed yet another contender, called the Keeway XDV 180 EVO. It is a bold and rugged, lightweight adventure scooter that redefines urban mobility with adventure-ready styling and practical performance. Price

The Keeway XDV 180 EVO is affordably priced at RM 9,388 (on the road, without insurance). Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

Engine and transmission

Powering the new Keeway scooter is a 174-cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine, which churns out a maximum power of 18.2 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 17.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The said mill incorporates an Electronic Fuel Injection system along with a T.C.I ignition unit that provides more precise ignition timing with better spark energy in comparison to conventional systems. 

Also part of the mechanical setup is a fully automatic CVT mated to a V-belt final drive, and a switchable Traction Control System that offers smooth riding across various road conditions.

Design and features

The Keeway XDV 180 EVO boasts a rugged design with dual-sport looks and a high ground clearance. Built for adventurers and everyday usability, the scooter comes equipped with an adjustable windshield, wide handlebars, a comfort-focused seat, and a 10-litre fuel tank.
