Keeway BX200i, BX200i SE and RKR 250 launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: MForce Bike Holdings Sdn. Bhd. has expanded the Keeway lineup in Malaysia with the launch of three new exciting models - BX200i, BX200i SE and RKR 250. The brand’s latest lineup, including two sporty scooters and a naked-style motorcycle, heralds a new era of riding power in the country.  

Let’s get to know the new Keeway model in detail.

Keeway BX200i and BX200i SE

• Designed for urban roads, the Keeway BX200i is a sporty scooter that fights in the 150-200-cc segment in Malaysia. 
• The scooter comes in two versions - standard and special edition, priced at RM 7,988 and RM 8,288, respectively. The BX200i SE (Special Edition) targets riders who seek a bit more sportiness and practicality with an exclusive top box.

• Both are powered by a 174-cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine, generating a maximum power of 18.2 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 17.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox.
• Built on a ‘flat frame’, the Keeway BX200i has a seat height of 790 mm and a wet weight of 153 kg.
• Handling the suspension duties are conventional telescopic forks at the front and adjustable shock absorbers at the rear.
• The braking setup comprises a 220 mm front disc with a 2-piston calliper and a 220 mm rear disc clamped by a 1-piston calliper. 
• Feature kit includes - Full LED lighting, LCD instrument console, Keyless Start system, front-facing dashcam and dual-channel ABS.
• The BX200i is offered in three colour options - Blue, Black and Red, whereas the BX200i SE comes in green colour only. 

Keeway RKR 250

• The Keeway RKR 250 is the new contender in the lightweight sportbike arena in Malaysia, which is attractively priced at RM 13,888.
• At its core lies a 249.3-cc, DOHC, 8-valve, parallel-twin engine, which is tuned to deliver 31.5 hp of maximum power at 10,500 rpm and 22.5 Nm of peak torque at 9,500 rpm. Power is sent to the wheel via a 6-speed transmission mated to a slipper clutch system.

• With a seat height of 770 mm, the bike tips the scales at 165 kg.
• The suspension is managed by 40 mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock with a Pro-Link system at the rear. 
• As for braking, the bike is equipped with a 320 mm floating front disc with a 4-piston calliper and a 240mm rear disc with a 1-piston calliper.
• The equipment kit comprises a 5-inch TFT display, LED lighting, lighted switchgear, Type-A and Type-C charging ports, dual-channel ABS, a traction control system, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
• Two available colour options are - Black and Red.
