Aveta Nova 200 up for grabs in Malaysia at RM 8,488

KUALA LUMPUR: Alongside the Serra 125, Aveta has launched the Nova 200 scooter in Malaysia. It is a sporty sub-200cc urban scooter that offers strong performance, enhanced riding comfort, and advanced safety features, all wrapped in a well-rounded package.

Price 

To take home Aveta’s new urban scooter, Malaysians need to shell out an amount of RM 8,488 (on-the-road, excluding insurance). Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

Engine and transmission

The Nova 200 comes equipped with a 183-cc liquid-cooled SOHC engine capable of generating a maximum power of 18 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 17.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via an automatic CVT gearbox and a belt-drive system.

Design and features 

In terms of design, the Nova 200 features a streamlined silhouette that combines sharp styling, aerodynamic elements, and youthful appeal, attracting riders who seek something nimble and premium. The angular front design features an X-shaped LED headlamp design with aerodynamic winglets on the panels. 

The new Aveta scooter also offers enhanced riding comfort and practicality with a flat-ish seat, backrest support, and spacious underseat storage.

Suspension and braking 

Managing the suspension duties are telescopic forks at the front and dual gas shock absorbers at the rear. The braking setup utilises disc brakes at both axles, complemented by an ABS system and a traction control system.

Overall, the Nova 200 adds a sporty and feature-packed option to Aveta's growing scooter range. 

With the launch of the Nova 200, alongside the Serra 125 and VS115 V3, the automaker reiterates its commitment to bringing products relevant to the needs of today's riders.
